A short history
Founded in 1930, the NIEF company's activity at Villeurbanne, near Lyon, France, involved manufacturing electrical switchgear integrating thermoset materials as insulation. In 1960, the company ceased this activity in order to dedicate itself exclusively to transforming thermoplastic polymers and thermosets. Its business then focused uniquely on subcontracting. In 1965, the sole proprietorship became a limited company (NIEF S.A.). In 1970, the company employed 20 people.
