GENAS, November 28th, 2023 –

Clayens is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Cicor Group (SIX Swiss Exchange: CICN), launching a strategic partnership to create a global one-stop CDMO service. This collaboration will address the expanding demand for electro-mechanical products, with a focus on medical and industrial sectors.

The synergy between Clayens’ specialized expertise in high-precision plastics and Cicor’s advanced capabilities in electronics manufacturing will provide a comprehensive solution to streamline product development, from innovative concept to market readiness, encapsulating the complexity of applications required by today’s dynamic markets.

Clayens is a European leader in the processing of polymers, composites and precision metal parts, headquartered in Genas, France. Cicor is one of Europe's fastest growing manufacturers of high-reliability electronics for medical, industrial and aerospace & defense applications headquartered in Boudry, Switzerland. With complementary global manufacturing capabilities, a shared vision for innovation and excellence, and extensive technology and market expertise in their respective fields, Cicor and Clayens bring together 7,500 employees at 46 production sites in 16 countries across Europe, East Asia, Africa and North America, including 20 state-of-the-art cleanrooms.

This strategic partnership enables both companies to offer a one-stop shop for customized, integrated technology solutions that are unmatched in innovation, quality and efficiency, from concept to market, regardless of complexity. Customers, particularly in the medical technology and industrial markets, will benefit from the combination of Cicor's and Clayens' complementary skills and technologies.

While developing a joint offering entirely focused on new programs, both companies will remain independent of each other and work at arms-length. The collaboration of Cicor and Clayens as independent groups is endorsed by One Equity Partners (OEP), a shareholder in both companies.

As Eric Pisani (Clayens CEO) aptly states, "Our partnership goes beyond a simple collaboration; we’re creating a one stop solution partner that combines the best of both worlds—plastic and electronic—to better serve our clients.” Complementing this vision, Alexander Hagemann (CEO Cicor Group) adds "This partnership does not only offer significantly larger scale and footprint to our customers, but it’s also about delivering smarter, more efficient, and infinitely more capable solutions. By offering our combined capabilities, we're creating a one-stop-shop for innovation, quality, and efficiency, from concept to market, regardless of complexity“.
